As the Dallas Cowboys prepare to take on the Minnesota Vikings Sunday Night, here are three players we’ll be watching to have a stellar performance.

After losing three-straight games starting in Week Four, the Dallas Cowboys have suddenly bounced back. The Cowboys defeated their NFC East rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants, in back-to-back weeks. And they’ll look to continue their streak against the 6-3 Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night at AT&T Stadium.

The Vikings are fresh off a 26-23 road loss provided by the Kansas City Chiefs who were without injured MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Prior to that defeat, Minnesota had its own four-game winning streak and currently sit second in the NFC North with a 6-3 record.

With this great game in mind, here are three Cowboys’ players we think could have a breakout performance against the Vikings in primetime …

Randall Cobb, WR

After spending his first eight seasons in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers, Randall Cobb knowns the Vikings very well as the two teams are in the same division. The Cowboys’ slot receiver has underwhelmed through his first seven games in Dallas recording 25 receptions for 274 yards and one touchdown.

But if Cobb is going to finally have a breakthrough performance, it could certainly come against a foe he’s all too familiar with. It also helps that Minnesota’s passing defense allows a 68.2 completion percentage to opposing quarterbacks, the eighth-highest average in the league.

Xavier Woods, S

Named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his Week 9 performance against the Giants, third-year safety Xavier Woods continues to stack stellar performances. Over the past three games, Woods has posted a combined 15 tackles, two pass defends, two interceptions, and a forced fumble.

If Woods is truly becoming the Pro Bowl-talent the Cowboys have been hoping for, he’ll win even more believers with a couple of big plays against stingy Vikings’ quarterback Kirk Cousins, who’s thrown just three interceptions in nine games.

Next. The all-time best defenders to wear the Star. dark

Michael Bennett, DL

Former New England Patriot defensive lineman Michael Bennett made one heck of a debut for the Cowboys in Week Nine. Against the Giants, the 33-year old recorded three tackles, a sack, and terrorized rookie quarterback Daniel Jones the entire game. After another full week of practice in his new home, Bennett should be well-rested and ready to make a primetime splash deep in the heart of Texas.
