The Dallas Cowboys look to end a three-game losing streak against the rival Philadelphia Eagles in a pivotal NFC East showdown for first place.

The Dallas Cowboys (3-3) are in desperate need of a shot in the arm. After a blistering hot 3-0 start to the season, the Cowboys have lost three straight games, mostly via self-inflicted mistakes. Suddenly a team with Super Bowl hopes has an uncertain road ahead.

For now, the next stop on that road is home at AT&T Stadium against the division rival Philadelphia Eagles (3-3) on Sunday Night Football.

Nothing would mean more to Dallas right now than taking care of business at home against their biggest division rival. It’s always special when this rivalry takes center stage, but this particular game likely means even more to both teams this week.

One of the most intense rivalries in the NFL, the Cowboys-Eagles games are one of the best atmospheres in the league. Not only do the fans of each team greatly detest the fans of the other, but even the players like to partake in the trash-talking as well. The games are usually very well contested, with last year’s meetings turning into classics – both Cowboys wins.

Both teams come into the game 3-3, tied for first in the NFC East, and struggling badly despite being preseason favorites to contend for the NFC Championship. One of these teams will take a one-game lead in the division, and get a big confidence-building rivalry win. The other will be a game under .500 with their season circling the drain.
