The Dallas Cowboys fall back to .500 after one of the worst losses in recent years. Everyone has let us down, but here are three of the most disappointing.

The Dallas Cowboys have once again come out and played uninspired football in the first half, digging themselves in a deep hole that is too deep to climb out of.

The first two losses were not good, but excuses could be made because they are two very good football teams. This time, it was against the winless New York Jets.

Everything from the front office to the players has disappointing but let us look at the players that have been disappointing so far this season.

Leighton Vander Esch, LB

Linebacker Leighton Vander Esch took Cowboys nation by storm last year when he busted on the scene around this time last season. So far in 2019, Vander Esch has not been playing up to the standard he played to last year.

Yes, Vander Esch has 51 total tackles so far this year, but for me, he is just not passing the eye test. He is not flying around the field like he did last year and his overall impact on games thus far is just not what it once was.

Leighton is also missing open-field tackles on a consistent basis, something he never did last year. Against the Packers, LVE was abysmal in the open field. If the Cowboys want to get on the right track they need Vander Esch to start making the impact he is used to making.
