The Dallas Cowboys weren’t able to beat the winless Jets falling 24-22. They have now lost their last three games and but is it time to be concerned?

We knew the Dallas Cowboys were going into this game short-handed along the offensive line with tackles Tyron Smith and La’el Collins both dealing with injuries. We also knew that there was a chance that receiver Randall Cobb was dealing with a back injury. But after losing to the Jets is it time to be concerned about this team?

When the Cowboys took the field for this game they just didn’t seem to have the same fire they had the first three games of the season. The offense wasn’t clicking at all and it had nothing to do with them missing their starting tackles or receiver. It didn’t even matter that the Cowboys lost receiver Amari Cooper.

The problem is that this team just seems to have lost the fire they had to begin the season. On offense, they just couldn’t get anything going and from my perspective, it looked like this was more of a head coach Jason Garrett offense and not something offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. It wasn’t just me that noticed former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo who called the game even called it out on air.

On the defensive side of the ball, the defensive line wasn’t able to get consistent pressure on quarterback Sam Darnold who was able to throw for 338 yards and two touchdowns. The linebackers couldn’t tackle Le’Veon Bell who ran for 50 yards and a touchdown and the cornerbacks weren’t able to prevent Robby Anderson or Jamison Crowder who combined for 223 yards from making plays down the field. This is clearly not the same defense from a year ago and they need to figure out what is wrong and fast.

From offense dropping pass to he defense getting burned on double moves for 92-yard touchdown passes. This team needs to re-evaluate themselves quickly and that includes the coaching staff. Penalties are killing this team, they have committed 25 penalties for 256 yards and it’s on the coaching staff to fix it.

This is a good team but right now they aren’t playing up to their full potential. And with the Philadelphia Eagles up next, they need to get there fast.
