#5. Tavon Austin, WR

From versatile web back to explosive wide receiver to a pure gadget player with returner upside, it’s been an unfortunate and all-to predictable decline for Tavon Austin in Dallas. Sure, Austin was able to gobble up 27 yards on two trick plays against the Packers on Sunday.

But for the most part, Austin is the forgotten man in this star-studded offense. And without the juice he provides on special teams, he’d likely not even be on the roster as rookie running back Tony Pollard seems to have an identical skill set.

Austin finds himself on this list because of his lofty draft status (he was the eighth overall selection in the 2013 NFL Draft) and the hype surrounding the diminutive wideout when Dallas traded for him during the 2018 NFL Draft.

The versatile playmaker was supposed to make a real impact. Two trick plays and averaging six-yards on three punt returns against the Packers wasn’t much of one. Let’s face it, Austin has become an afterthought.
