Third Key To Victory

After every game, NFL coaching staffs break down what went well and what did not regardless of win, loss or tie. Cowboys fans need to analyze last week’s loss to the New Orleans Saints and consider how the Saints fans affected the game outcome.

The Louisiana Superdome, home of the Saints, has a reputation for being a loud and difficult place to play. In fact, it ranked fourth on this list of loud NFL stadiums.

The Cowboys had a difficult time with pre-snap adjustments due to a rabid Sunday Night Football crowd making it extremely loud.  The late Sunday game time only allowed the Saints fans more time to lubricate their vocal cords.

AT&T Stadium is the biggest stadium in the NFL. The eight largest regular-season crowds in 2018 were at the home of the Dallas Cowboys with more than 90,000 at each game.

So it is certain to have a large crowd on Sunday but what is not certain is how many will be cheering for the home team. The Green Bay Packers fans travel extremely well.

While it is likely too late to limit the number of cheesehead fans in the stadium as resale and general admission tickets make it easy for anyone who wants to attend the game. But it should be easy for the Cowboys fans to drown out the Packers fans due to the higher percentage of Silver and Blue cheering fans.

Cowboys fans have received some recognition lately for generating home-field crowd noise. Dallas ranked eighth on the list of loud NFL stadiums.

Crowd noise is the home-field advantage and the home partisan crowd needs to show up. Cowboys fans can help their team by energizing the defense to stop Aaron Rodgers and his Packer teammates.
