With the extension of elite runner Ezekiel Elliott, the Dallas Cowboys have now secured a 2019 roster with no excuses but to be special.

After securing long-term extensions with several key players, there is no way to sugar coat the enormous expectations of the 2019 Dallas Cowboys.

Going down the line of position groups, this roster oozes championship caliber talent.

OFFENSE

While still waiting to receive an extension, quarterback Dak Prescott will now enjoy a plethora of weapons to make his job easier. If new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore can creatively piece it all together, Prescott will shine.

Not only is Ezekiel Elliott locked in once again, but in his absence rookie Tony Pollard showed special rushing and receiving abilities. Talk about a vicious one-two punch the likes Dallas has not seen in ages.

The offensive line returns to elite status with three first round Pro Bowlers reunited. La’el Collins was extended for multiple years, and Connor Williams gained needed size and strength. Depth is also impressive with three multiple game starters.

The return of Jason Witten gives the tight end group needed veteran direction and leadership. Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz have gained another year of pro experience and offseason conditioning.

At receiver, the tandem of Amari Cooper and a much improved Michael Gallup will be a nightmare to defend. Savvy veterans Randall Cobb and Tavon Austin working the slot will also provide match-up issues. Even Devin Smith could burst onto the scene.
