OTAs and minicamp have provided positive news for the Dallas Cowboys. But questions about the offense still remain heading into training camp.

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t had this much buzz on offense going into training camp since quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott first arrived in 2016. While he buzz is positive there are still questions that need to be answered in training camp. If they aren’t answered early these questions will linger until the season begins.

First question that needs to be answered is what is the status of the offensive line? Will left guard Connor Williams be starting at a new position this season or will he continue to start at guard? There has been a lot of talk about him taking snaps at the right tackle position, leaving many to believe they could make a change.

While it’s important to give him snaps at both positions, they need to make sure to focus on giving him snaps at the position he will be dedicating most of his time too.

Next is what is that health status of center Travis Frederick? We’ve seen him take part in walkthroughs but nothing to physical yet. The Cowboys need to find out and find out quickly if he is going to be ready to play and play at a high level.

Another debate that has been talked about is who will start at tight end for the Dallas Cowboys this season. Will it be the returning Jason Witten or the incumbent Blake Jarwin? The Cowboys need to figure this out and make sure that they don’t just decide to give Witten the job because of his name and past production alone. They need to make sure he fits in the new style of offense from offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.

And last but not least would be has quarterback coach Jon Kitna done enough to help Prescott improve his accuracy and pocket presence? Also has Kitna done enough to give the Cowboys confidence in the backup quarterback position?

As of right now, reports seem positive for Prescott. But after some time off can he continue to progress and take that into the preseason? And can one of the backups take that number two spot behind Prescott? Only time will tell with these questions but for the Dallas Cowboys sake they need to figure them out in training camp.
