Dallas Cowboys: Which undrafted rookies can crack the final roster?
The Dallas Cowboys officially wrapped up their 2019 NFL Draft proceedings by signing 13 rookie UDFA. Could any of them make the final roster?
The Dallas Cowboys did well in the draft by many standards, and that’s even without a first round pick to work with. What could make things even better, is if they were able to find some real talent or a few gems via the rookie undrafted free agent market.
The Cowboys brought aboard 13 undrafted rookies after the draft was all wrapped up, they include …
Jalen Guyton, WR, North Texas
Jon’Vea Johnson, WR, Toledo
Mitch Hyatt, OT, Clemson,
Brandon Knight, OT, Indiana,
Derrick Puni, OT, Central Missouri
Larry Allen Jr., OL, Harvard
Chris Westry, CB, Kentucky
Ricky Walker, DT, Virginia Tech
Daniel Wise, DT, Kansas
Andrew Dowell, LB, Michigan State
Luke Gifford, LB, Nebraska
Nate Hall, LB, Northwestern
Justin Phillips, LB, Oklahoma State
With a few familiar names for the Cowboys, having had several of these players in among their 30 pre-draft visits, the Cowboys would probably take a closer look at those players.
With another name that should sound familiar to the Cowboys as well as fans alike, and who just so happens to play a position that Dallas hold in high regard these days, there is another player among those signed that will probably receive a legit look as well.
Even outside of those players the Cowboys may be somewhat familiar with, there are a few others that could make a splash before cuts begin.
