The Dallas Cowboys have found themselves a quarterback that is a winner. So why is there so much anger directed towards Dak Prescott?

When the Dallas Cowboys missed out on trading up for quarterback Paxton Lynch and quarterback Conner Cook in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft people were upset. The Cowboys, on the other hand, had another quarterback they had been worked out multiple times. And with that Dak Prescott was selected later in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Ever since then Prescott has been able to lead the Dallas Cowboys to two divisional titles behind a 32-16 regular season record. During that time he has thrown for 10,876 passing yards, 67 touchdowns to 25 interceptions, a completion percentage of 66.1% and has an overall passer rating of 96.0 in the regular season. Oh and don’t forget about his rushing stats that stand currently at 944 yards with 18 touchdowns.

If you compare those stats to quarterbacks like Carson Wentz, Jared Goff, and Paxton Lynch, Prescott comes out on top in those statistics. So why is there so much shade being thrown towards Prescott? Some people will point to his not being able to win close games or his playoff losses?

Well, so far Prescott during his time as the Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback he has led nine fourth-quarter comebacks and led this team to 15 game-winning drives if you include the playoffs. This is starting to remind me of when fans did the same thing with former quarterback Tony Romo. He received the same criticism during his time with the Cowboys.

Prescott has been able to get us to the playoffs two out of his three years and both of those losses are squarely on the defense. Against Green Bay, he led a comeback and took the lead and the defense gave up a big play. Against Seattle, he led a comeback and the defense almost lost the game and against the Rams, the defense couldn’t stop the running game.

So again I ask why is there so anger being directed at a quarterback and has done nothing but help and lead his team? What does Dak Prescott have to do to get the credit that he deserves?

Please tell me, I’d like to know.
