The Dallas Cowboys have lost a few players and added a few players. But who will be their most important offensive and defensive players?

The Dallas Cowboys and the rest of the division are once again about to being a season with each team undergoing a major change in some way. For the Cowboys, they lost their most productive receiver over the past two years in Cole Beasley but they added plenty of new faces. So who will be their most important players on each side of the ball in 2019?

Let’s start with the defensive unit that outplayed their expectations in 2018. For the Cowboys to continue to perform at the expectations now set by the 2018 season safety Xavier Woods is going to need to step up and become the safety the team has been searching for since losing safety Darren Woodson. Which is a very tall task to accomplish.

Woods should be able to build on the last season’s coming out party where he posted 56 total tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and nine passes defended. In the past, Woods has stated that he was told to study film on All-Pro safety Earl Thomas. If he can start to get on that level and become a ball-hawking free safety then he will make every single Dallas Cowboy fan forget about Thomas signing with the Ravens this offseason and take this defense to the next level which.

On the offensive side of the ball losing Beasley really hurt but when the Cowboys brought in Randall Cobb to fill that position. The reason Cobb is the most important person for this offense next season is because he will need to continue to make plays as he has in the past to make up for Beasley’s production. He will also need to stay healthy, something that he hasn’t been able to do over that last few years in Green Bay.

If Cobb is able to stay healthy he might just be able to make more plays than Beasley was able to down the field and take a lot more pressure off of quarterback Dak Prescott’s shoulders as well.
