Fourth Round Selection (136): Terrill Hanks, LB – New Mexico State

Pick Analysis: The Cowboys most talented positional unit could be its linebacker corps. So any rookie would have a tough time cracking this active roster. Still, Dallas loves to draft the position regardless of need. They value them as special teams members.

Hanks should fit that bill as he’s a tackling machine, posting triple-digit tackles for each of the past three seasons for the Aggies. In fact, in just nine games last year, Hanks recorded a whopping 101 total tackles, 9.0 tackles for a loss, 1.0 sack, and an interception.

Others Still Available: Gary Johnson – LB, Nate Davis – OG

Final Rating: All-in-all, I believe this was a solid mock for the Dallas Cowboys in 2019. Two of the four selections are rumored pre-draft visitors. And these choices fall in line with the types of selections Dallas has made in the past.

The one issue I have would be in the second round. I think it could be hard for the Cowboys to pass up safety Taylor Rapp or defensive end Zack Allen over a less pressing position of need, wide receiver. That’s unless that wideout is Deebo Samuel.
