Dallas Cowboys: Rating NFL.com’s 4-round mock draft
Third Round Selection (90): Gerald Willis, DT – Miami
Pick Analysis: Willis makes a lot of sense here as he’s been rumored as a 30 pre-draft visit in Dallas as well. He’s yet another three-technique defensive tackle that the Cowboys seem to covet. Willis is an interior disruptor who led the nation with 18 tackles for loss in 12 games last year. He falls to the third round due to questions about his consistency, maturity, and the need to improve fundamentals like pad level.
Others Still Available: Andy Isabella – WR, Jace Sternberger – TE, Foster Moreau – TE, Bryce Love – RB, Elijah Holyfield – RB, Will Harris – S, John Cominsky – DE, Kingsley Keke – DT.
Fourth Round Selection (128): Dawson Knox, TE – Mississippi
Pick Analysis: Knox is a traits guy who boosted his value after his performance at the combine. He’s also a rumored 30 pre-draft visit in Dallas. Knox had limited opportunities as a pass catcher at Ole Miss, never scoring a single touchdown in college.
But Knox has demonstrated the skills to become a more reliable passing option with the ability to gobble up yards after the catch. He’s also a good run blocker, which is good since Dallas demands their tight ends be solid blockers as well.
Others Still Available: Mike Weber – RB, Jamal Davis – Edge, Jamel Dean – CB, Tyler Jones – OG, Cameron Smith – LB
