Dallas Cowboys: 15 best free agent acquisitions of all-time
One of the greatest cornerbacks in NFL history, Deion Sanders, spent his first five seasons in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons. Sanders was the sixth overall selection by Atlanta in the 1989 NFL Draft. After recording a career-high seven interceptions for the Falcons in 1993, the talented corner joined the San Francisco 49ers for a single season.

With the 49ers, Sanders would post an impressive six interceptions and three defensive touchdowns, leading the team to a victory in Super Bowl XXIX and being named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
San Francisco, along with their new All-Pro cornerback, defeated the Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game earlier that season after Dallas had won two-straight Super Bowls over the Buffalo Bills.
Sanders would leave San Francisco for Dallas the following season, helping the Cowboys to secure their third Super Bowl win in four years, this time over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XXX. He’d spend five seasons in Dallas, racking up 14 interceptions and receiving four Pro Bowl nominations in that span.
After a 14-year career, which included 53 total interceptions, 22 touchdowns, nine All-Pro selections and eight Pro Bowl nominations; Deion Sanders was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011.
