2. Ezekiel Elliott

For the second time in his career, running back Ezekiel Elliott finished the regular season as the number one rusher in the league. The young running back bounced back after having a disappointing sophomore season due to a suspension.

Elliott is a top three running back in the league if not the best. The unique combination of strength and speed provides Elliott with enough power to go through someone, or jump over them.

Despite already being a top tier rusher in the league, Elliott’s game actually evolved this past season. Elliott’s ability to find tiny holes in the front and identify cutback lanes got significantly better. On some snaps, Elliott looked as patient as the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Le’Veon Bell.

But Elliott also improved as a pass catcher. In 2018, Elliott nearly surpassed his receiving totals from his first two years combined. Elliott racked up 567 receiving yards (eighth in the league among running backs) and three touchdowns through the air.

Elliott wins in short yardage situations and can take it to the house. He may be a little slower than his rookie year, but is an improved back overall.

Also, Elliott is a fantastic pass blocker. Prescott is always confident that Elliott will pick up the blitz. Elliott is gearing up to play the fourth year in his career. All signs are pointing at him ending as the leading rusher once again.
