The Dallas Cowboys are going into another draft with questions on both sides of the ball. Which one will get the most attention this year?

The Dallas Cowboys are once again getting ready to get a first-hand look at players at the NFL Combine next week. And once again the Cowboys have questions about which side of the football they need the most help at. So what will it be this year offense or defense?

If the Dallas Cowboys decide to focus heavily on the offensive side of the football then rest assured that head coach Jason Garrett fingerprints all over it. He is coaching for his job this season and with the first year offensive coordinator in Kellen Moore, Garrett will do whatever he can to succeed. But what will he target in the draft?

We know that the Cowboys need a tight end that is a receiving threat, a slot receiver if Cole Beasley leaves in free agency, a swing tackle, and a back up running back. Garrett most likely will be looking at tight end with slot receiver a close second. But only if owner Jerry Jones allows him to do so.

If Jones doesn’t give Garrett the helm in the then look for the Cowboys let defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli and defensive backs coach Kris Richard. The defense outplayed all of the expectations most had for them. Though in the end, they crumbled in the playoffs giving up 459 yards to the Los Angeles Rams. Of those 459 yards, 273 of those yards came from their running backs.

So the first order of business on the defensive side of the ball should be a defensive tackle. The Cowboys need to look at safeties and linebackers as well but their main focus needs to be a defensive tackle. Specifically, one that can stop the run, and not one of the tweeners the Cowboys are known for targeting.

Again that’s if the Cowboys allow them to lead the draft room. Which side of the ball do you think they will focus on in this year’s draft?
