To save his job, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett needs Jon Kitna and Kellen Moore to quickly elevate the passing skills of QB Dak Prescott.

There is never a good way to deliver bad news, so I’ll give it to you straight. The display of non-existent, offensive firepower of Super Bowl LIII (53) is going to resemble the Dallas Cowboys winning formula of choice in 2019.

Cowboy Nation should expect lots of close, low scoring games to be on the horizon. The formula is run the football, control the clock with time of possession and allow future Hall of Fame safety, Jeff Heath, to play great defense.

If this style doesn’t result in many victories early in the season, it will spell bad news for Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett. I boldly predict that during the season, Garrett will get fired for ineffective clapping. So, don’t be shocked when you hear Garrett applauding you for not leaving a shopping cart in the middle of a parking lot.

Most likely, Garrett will get fired if the Cowboys lose horrifically to the Los Angeles Rams early in the season. First, the Cowboys always get major television ratings and the Rams just appeared in the Super Bowl. That points to a Sunday or Monday night prime time matchup early in the season.

The wildcard factor is Cowboys owner – Jerry Jones. In September 2018, Jerry Jones said he saw similarities between the Cowboys and Rams offenses. Jones finished by saying, “I don’t think it’s a reach to think maybe we can approach that kind of productivity.”

It’s quotes like this that lead me to believe that Jones will show Garrett the door, if the Cowboys offense doesn’t debut as the newest version of The Greatest Show on Turf. How does Garrett make this transformation happen?

Garrett’s future lies in the hands of new quarterback coach and former Cowboys quarterback Jon Kitna. Kitna has 14 years of NFL experience and six times, he threw for more than 3,000 yards and double digit touchdowns.

Garrett’s fate also lies in the hands of the Cowboys newest offensive coordinator, Kellen Moore. Moore is a football genius and the greatest player to ever be denied an opportunity to consistently showcase his skills in the NFL. I have always been a huge fan of Mr. K. Dot aka Mr. 50 – 3 (Moore’s college record).

I was ecstatic when Moore joined the Cowboys roster. Why? Simply check out the Kellen Moore video currently posted on my Facebook page. I still believe that Moore could’ve led the Cowboys to the Super Bowl in 2015, if the front office didn’t waste time with quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Matt Cassel.

In multiple articles, I comfortably predicted that Moore would be the future of the Cowboys. I didn’t expect Moore to become the next head coach so quickly. Speaking of the Cowboys front office, Garrett can thank them for ending his tenure as head coach.

Garrett’s offensive system – based on the Air Coryell – is best led by an accurate quarterback able to make plays from the pocket. Based on Prescott’s limited quarterback skill set, Garrett and former offensive coordinator Scott Linehan shifted the offensive philosophy to showcase running back Ezekiel Elliott.

In a passing league, the Cowboys have had the NFL’s leading rusher in two of the last three years without reaching the Super Bowl. Opponents need to respect the Cowboys passing game.

If you don’t want a strange guy clapping at you in parking lots, hope that Garrett, Kitna and Moore can let their powers combine this offseason to form a Captain Prescott with the ability to lead a team that will be great at rushing and better at passing the football.

Predictions. Go big or go home.  #GoCowboys
