Cowboys at Rams: 5 questionable on final injury report
The Dallas Cowboys had five players appear as questionable on the team’s final injury report for their upcoming playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Dallas Cowboys are preparing to play what is arguably their most important game in recent memory, a divisional playoff matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Despite the fact the Cowboys were able to secure the NFC East title with a couple weeks left in the season, the Rams dominated their schedule, winning a whopping 13 games in 2018.
But working in the Cowboys’ favor is the fact the Rams lost two of their final four games and they had a relatively soft schedule facing the 4-12 San Francisco 49ers and the 3-13 Arizona Cardinals twice as divisional pushovers.
Another factor that could tilt the scales in Dallas’ direction is the fact Rams’ star running back Todd Gurley has been sidelined since Week 15 with a knee injury. The talented runner is expected to play Saturday night despite being limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday of this week.
But the Cowboys are dealing with some injury issues of their own. On Dallas’ final injury report, five players were listed as questionable for the important divisional playoff contest. Those players being wide receiver Cole Beasley (ankle), defensive tackle Maliek Collins (illness/ankle), tight end Blake Jarwin (ankle), guard Xavier Su’a-Filo (ankle) and safety Darian Thompson (groin).
Beasley, an important part of the Cowboys’ wide receiver corps, was unable to practice all week due to his ankle injury. His possible absence could be a major blow to a Dallas’ offense that has struggled to score all season.
Already ruled out for the Dallas Cowboys in their matchup in California on Saturday night is defensive tackle David Irving, as the former starter continues to deal with a high ankle sprain.
