With a chance to secure themselves a playoff berth, the Dallas Cowboys will have to face the Indianapolis Colts without their four-time Pro Bowler.

The 8-5 Dallas Cowboys have an opportunity to become the NFC East champions and secure themselves a spot in the postseason with a win in Week 14. In order to get that victory, the Cowboys will travel north to face the rising 7-6 Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon.

The Colts will not be an “easy out” for the Cowboys. Led by quarterback Andrew Luck, this resurgent Indy squad has won six of their last seven games including a 24-21 victory over the Houston Texans last Sunday.

If the Cowboys are going to get a road victory at Lucas Oil Stadium, they’ll have to do so without arguably their best player on the field. On their final injury report, Dallas has already officially ruled out All-Pro right guard Zack Martin for the upcoming contest due to a knee injury (MCL sprain).

It will be the first game Martin will miss in his stellar five-year career so far. The four-time Pro Bowler suffered a similar knee injury in the preseason and again in Week 10.

In Martin’s place, the Cowboys will start rookie Connor Williams. The second round selection out of Texas started the first eight games of the season at left guard. But injury opened the door for veteran Xavier Su’a-Filo to replace Williams along the starting line. Now, regulated to the bench, the rookie will have some very big shoes to fill.

Also officially ruled out for the upcoming game for the Cowboys are defensive tackle David Irving (ankle) and tight end Geoff Swaim (wrist). Appearing on the final injury report as questionable for the Week 15 matchup are left tackle Tyron Smith (neck), linebacker Sean Lee (hamstring), wide receiver Tavon Austin (groin), defensive end Randy Gregory (not injury related) and wideout Lance Lenoir (illness).
