It’s time for the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles to battle it out for the division. Here are my x-factors and final prediction for the game.

The Dallas Cowboys have a chance to deal a knock out blow to last seasons Super Bowl Champions the Philadelphia Eagles. But while the Cowboys have a somewhat easier path to the playoffs nothing ever comes easy and they have to take care of business this Sunday. Here are a few x-factors in this game and my final score prediction.

The first big X-factor that favors the Dallas Cowboys would be the 10 days of rest they had after the stunning victory over the New Orleans Saints last week. The Eagles, on the other hand, are coming into this game on a short week after playing the Redskins on Monday night. Those extra days for the Cowboys to heal up and game plan for the Eagles will definitely work in their favor.

The second X-factor in this game the Cowboys have to worry about would be how to stop tight end, Zach Ertz. Ertz is on pace to break future hall of fame tight end Jason Witten’s receptions in a season by a tight end. The last time he played the Cowboys he posted 14 catches for 145 yards and two touchdowns. That can’t happen again.

The third and final X-factor in this game is the injuries the Eagles are dealing with. While the Cowboys are starting to get players back the Eagles are dealing with new injuries or are still waiting for players to return from them.

The big injuries to watch are left tackle Jason Peters (ankle), defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan (back), and defensive end Michael Bennett (foot). Football games are won in the trenches and the Eagles need these players to play and play well if they want to have a chance in this game.

If the Dallas Cowboys are able to take advantage of these X-factors, shut down Zach Ertz, and feed off of the bulletin board material from Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill they should win this game.

Final Score: Cowboys 27- Eagles 17
