Here is my prediction for the Dallas Cowboys final four games of the regular season. Plus, my thoughts on the current status of head coach Jason Garrett.

Things are looking up for the Dallas Cowboys. The team is running high on a four-game winning streak. At 7-5, they are in the driver’s seat for the NFC East race. The defense just powered over the New Orleans Saints. And, the group can regroup with ten days of rest before fighting the Philadelphia Eagles, who are coming to Dallas after a short week.

Let’s rewind for a second. On November 5th, the Cowboys were embarrassed at home when the Tennessee Titans rolled in, winning 28-14. The ‘Boys fell to 3-5 and were looking down a barrel. The next four contests involved teams in the hunt or deep in the hunt.

Also, let’s not forget, the Boy’s still had a rematch game with the Super Bowl winners at the end of that four-game slate to finish out that difficult stretch.

With Amari Cooper in the company, the Cowboys whipped up a miracle run, ripping off four straight wins against the Eagles, Falcons, Redskins, and Saints.

But before the team can spell out the word playoffs, the final four games offer mystery and intrigue, which will dictate their GPS going forward. Yes, the good news, of course, is that the steering wheel is under their control. But the pressure is still on, this is despite a monumental victory over the then 10-1 Saints.

With their back against the wall, the Cowboys have delivered. The 2018 season is still under construction, but we can’t take away the type of punch this team mustered up during the most difficult part of the schedule.

The Dallas Cowboys final four games are below. What do you think, will the Cowboys finish 11-5, 10-6, or dare fall from the sky to 7-9?

• Philadelphia Eagles
• Indianapolis Colts
• Tampa Bay Buccaneers
• New York Giants

Two of the opponents are in the hunt but are outside looking in. The other two are far enough out of the hunt that auditions for 2019 are already in the works. Again, things are looking up for the Dallas Cowboys.

So, before I get into my predictions, let’s have a word about Jason Garrett and his job status. I don’t know about you, but the firing of Mike McCarthy caught my ears. I didn’t see that coming. He owns a 125-77-2 head coaching record with the Green Bay Packers (.618 winning percentage). He coached 18 playoff games, going 10-8 overall. And he won a Super Bowl in 2010.

In contrast, McCarthy has won almost as many games as Garrett has coached (132 games). Garrett has a 74-58 overall record (.561 winning percentage) over a span of nine seasons. He’s made it to the playoffs two seasons, going 1-2 overall.

Sure, there could have been other things brewing in Green Bay between the coach and quarterback Aaron Rodgers. But the firing was a clear statement and should add some more pressure to the Dallas brass. Garrett has no room for error. Zero.

On to my predictions. The Dallas Cowboys are 4-0 the last four games, which left me 0-4 in my predictions. I can’t jinx the ‘Boys, now can I? Eagles 24, Cowboys 20. And for my final four games? Let’s just say I see the ‘Boys finishing in the double-digit victory column.
