With the Giants win over the Bears, the Dallas Cowboys have a chance to become the third seed in the NFC. Let’s a take a look at the games they need to win to get there.

Crazy how things can change s quickly in the NFL, a few weeks ago the Dallas Cowboys season was on the brink. Now they are in the driver’s seat in the NFC East and after this week have a chance to become the third seed in the NFC playoff seeding. It will be tough but let’s take a look at their upcoming games to see how they can do it.

First, let’s look at the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears remaining schedules. The Cowboys have the Eagles, Colts, Buccaneers, and Giants left to go. While the Bears have the Rams, Packers, 49ers,  and Vikings. Looking at the remaining schedules the Cowboys should have the easier path to the third seed.

The Bears will face off against three teams with explosive offenses led by quarterbacks Jared Goff, Aaron Rodgers, and Kirk Cousins. They also have to worry about the defenses on those teams due to their ability to get to the quarterback. The Bears should get back the injured young quarterback Mitch Trubisky to try to get their offense back on track. If he can’t get their passing game going it doesn’t look good for the Bears over the next four weeks.

The Dallas Cowboys will have to stop four very dangerous teams with offenses that have the ability to score on anyone led by quarterbacks Carson Wentz, Andrew Luck, Jameis Winston, and Eli Manning.

But on the flips side, those four teams have defenses that are really struggling to stop opposing offenses. If the Cowboys can continue to play great defense and control the clock with Ezekiel Elliott like they did beating the juggernaut known as the New Orleans Saints offense, they will be the NFC’s third seed.

The last four weeks of the season are going to be very interesting to watch as the pressure mounts on teams. Whether they are looking to make the playoffs via a wildcard spot or are like teams like the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears who will be battling for a better seeding, it’s going to be nerve-racking and fun to watch and I can’t wait to see what happens.
