Following the Dallas Cowboys signature win over the heavily favored New Orleans Saints Thursday night, here are five players who stock is soaring.

On Thursday night, the Dallas Cowboys pulled off what many thought was impossible. The Cowboys were able to defeat the juggernaut 10-1 New Orleans Saints in a primetime Thursday night victory, 13-10.

The Herculean defensive effort by Dallas was able to limited MVP candidate quarterback Drew Brees and the Saints’ high-powered offense to a mere 10 points, shutting them out completely in the first half.

Following the Cowboys’ biggest victory of the season, here are five players whose stock is going through the roof right now.

Leighton Vander Esch, LB

The player affectionately known as the “Wolf Hunter” was howling all game long Thursday night. Vander Esch has been on a tear as of late. Named the NFL’s defensive rookie of the month for November, the rookie’s play has many wondering where it leaves two-time Pro Bowler Sean Lee when he returns from a hamstring injury. It’s a good problem to have in Dallas.

Following the Cowboys’ big win against the heavily favored New Orleans Saints, plus another stellar performance by Vander Esch in primetime, and you have to believe the rookie is on a Pro Bowl track. The Cowboys first rounder racked up 10 total tackles, leading the team in that category once again.

Vander Esch now has an impressive stat line of 102 combined tackles along with seven pass defends and two interceptions in 12 games. And he’s only started seven of those games! It’s an impressive start to what could be a legendary career in Big D.
