#1. Will Scott Linehan continue playcalling like this?

The Cowboys were clearly in desperation mode on Sunday in Philly. And the playcalling demonstrated that. But we’ve seen this kind of thing from the Cowboys this season. And more specifically, from offensive coordinator Scott Linehan.

After big wins over the New York Giants and the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this season, Dallas suddenly abandoned what made them successful in the previous game and tried something completely different in their next contest.

The Cowboys would win primarily running the ball through running back Ezekiel Elliott. The next game, Dallas would refuse to give Zeke the ball in the second half. Or a running Dak Prescott would open up the offense in a big win. The next week, the team would attempt to make their third-year quarterback a pure pocket passer. The back and forth has fans confused and upset.

It’s a constant magic show in Dallas under head coach Jason Garrett and Linehan. One game, they show you something that works and has you excited about the team’s future. The next contest, that “thing” has completely disappeared as these two coaches try to play some sort of Ocean’s Eleven-type caper on opposing defensive coordinators.

It’s almost as if the Cowboys coaching staff believes once they’ve shown their hand, they must try to trick their opponents by asking for a new deck, a new shuffle and a new dealer.

After Sunday’s big win, has this coaching staff finally learned their lesson? I seriously doubt it. Expect more mind games from this duo.
