As the Dallas Cowboys prepare to take on the World Champion Philadelphia Eagles for the first time in 2018, will bad blood stoke the competitive rivalry?

Here are your Dallas Cowboys, fresh off an embarrassing display of football on National television ready to do it once more. Sunday Night Football on NBC. A hated division rival who happen to be the reigning World Champions. A “must-win” (please show me the games you can lose) if there ever was one.

All the things you would need to get the competitive juices flowing are here for you. There is just one thing missing. A Dallas Cowboys team ready or capable of matching the hype that the buildup of a matchup of this fortitude would bring.

Let’s not get it twisted, however. The Philadelphia Eagles are dealing with their own brand of disappointment.

At 4-4, they are in no position to be taking this game lightly. Just one game ahead of the Cowboys, if the Eagles were to fail tonight, many people would be ready to roast them for being below average so late in the season.

Maybe that is why a few of their players have tried to talk a big game prior to the big game. Usually, players go out of their way to stay off opposing bulletin boards during interviews. Apparently, Philadelphia offensive linemen Jason Peters and Jason Kelce did not get that memo.

During a conference call with SportsRadio 94.1 WIP-FM, Peters let his disgust of the Dallas Cowboys and their fans be known.

"“They’re just arrogant. The organization, everybody, ‘America’s Team’. Right now, they are not winning. Let’s see how many people jump off their bandwagon and stay with them. We’ll see Sunday and try to get that ‘W’ on them.”"

Pretty tame in all honesty but still, a shot is a shot. I’ll address one aspect of this one in a minute but first, let me allow Kelce to run off at the mouth …
