The Dallas Cowboys are practically the walking dead this weekend with six players already ruled out before they face the Philadelphia Eagles in primetime.

Coming off a devastating loss to the Tennessee Titans last Monday cemented the Dallas Cowboys in third place in the NFC East with a 3-5 record. The 5-3 Washington Redskins still lead the division. But it’s the Cowboys next opponents, the 4-4 Philadelphia Eagles, that stand between them.

Dallas is set to face the Birds in Philly on Sunday Night Football in Week 10. But the Cowboys will do so with several key members of their team sidelined due to injuries.

According to the team’s final injury report, a whopping six players have already been ruled out officially. Those players include: linebacker Sean Lee (hamstring), rookie left guard Connor Williams (knee), defensive end Taco Charlton (shoulder), defensive tackle David Irving (ankle), wide receiver Tavon Austin (groin) and linebacker Joe Thomas (foot).

The Cowboys 2018 first rounder selection, rookie linebacker Leighton Vander Esch, should start in place of two-time Pro Bowler Lee once again. Vander Esch has proven to be an excellent selection by Dallas and has already established himself as being one of the top performers in his draft class.

Replacing Williams along the Cowboys offensive line will be much more difficult. Former 2014 second round Xavier Su’a-Filo is expected to get the start in his place. Although backup center Adam Redmond is also under consideration.

Questionable to participate in Sunday night’s matchup for the Cowboys are starting tight end Geoff Swaim (knee) and pass rusher Randy Gregory (knee). If the Gregory is able to go, expect him to take up the slack for Charlton at right defensive end. Both players were limited in practice on both Thursday and Friday.
