1. Redskins don’t get to quarterbacks

To this point of the season, the Washington Redskins have to be very pleased overall with how their defense has played.

More from The Landry Hat

Minus the Week Five disaster against the New Orleans Saints, Washington has not given up more than 21 points in a game and has faced some talented quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, and Andrew Luck.

Washington held all three of those Pro Bowl quarterbacks to under 280 yards and managed to win all three of those games.

Coming into the season the Redskins defense was seen by many as an unknown, but they have played well above expectations to this point. For as well as their defense has played, there is one thing they do not do well and that gets to the quarterback. Washington ranks tied for 26th in the NFL with just 10 sacks on the year.

This will be a big plus for the Dallas offense as we saw last week when the offensive line can give quarterback Dak Prescott time they offense can function at a high level. Also, if the Redskins cannot generate pressure with their front four, it will face them to send linebackers and secondary players on blitzes, creating one on one matchups down the field for the Dallas receivers.

Basically, put this looks like a huge matchup advantage for the Cowboys offense, and they need to take advantage of the lack of pressure if they are going to win this game.
