3. Blake Bortles is not as bad as you may think.

Despite the turnovers mentioned in the first point, the Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles is having a pretty nice season. Bortles has thrown for over 350 yards in three of Jacksonville’s first five games.

Bortles also led the team to the defeat of the New England playing his best game of the season. The 5th year pro is tenth in the league in passing yards but 25th in total QBR. This may seem misleading but it really isn’t.

It shows what Bortles is, a hit or miss quarterback. Sometimes he is the guy that beat the New England Patriots, and sometimes he is the guy who only could put up six points again the Tennessee Titans.

Bortles is not a world beater, but he is a guy who is more than capable of beating you and putting up points if he is on his game.

This Sunday, in my opinion, will come down to which quarterback can get out of their own way more, and make enough plays to help their team win. Bortles can be very good, he can be very terrible, we will see which guy the Cowboys get on Sunday.
