Dallas Cowboys: 5 predictions that were so wrong for 2018

The Dallas Cowboys are 2-3 with five games down. Some decisions are going right. Some decisions went seriously wrong. Here are five wrong predictions.

You know, I’ll be the first to admit I’m wrong. With the Dallas Cowboys falling to 2-3 last Sunday night, on a nationally televised battle, the loss got my head spinning. The Cowboys are who they are, and at 2-3, I can’t say I’m too surprised at this point.

However, some of the offseason decisions are downright poor. And I hate to say this but swinging my weight behind some of these decisions has me feeling regret. It’s clear to me the Cowboys failed at the subtraction is an addition formula.

The Dallas Cowboys failed at some math this offseason, and clearly, it’s showing.

Here are five predictions that are flat-out wrong so far in 2018.

1. Due to his age, the Cowboys won’t miss Jason Witten

Those that volunteered to take Witten’s spot because of his age and diminishing talent are hiding now. The Cowboys need the tight end, and his absence is hurting the Cowboys. Not only have the Cowboys lost a true number one, but they lost a number two, three and four.

One word here: Embarrassing.

2. Receiver committee greater than a number one

Allen Hurns. Deonte Thompson. Terrance Williams. And now, Brice Butler, but he’s probably a part-time employee with no health benefits.

Not exactly a list that scares, does it? This decision has been an embarrassment. This is from an organization that has produced talents like Drew Pearson, Kevin Williams, Michael Irvin, Alvin Harper and of course, Dez Bryant.

Embarrassing.
