The Dallas Cowboys picked up a much-needed win against the Detroit Lions. Here are a few questions I had about the Week Four win.

Last week I made a few predictions about the Dallas Cowboys matchup at home against the Detroit Lions. And two of the three came to fruition.

The first one was that running back Ezekiel Elliott would have a big game. The second was that kicker Brett Maher would kick a game-winning field goal at the end of the game. While the Cowboys won the contest, they still have a few problems that need to be fixed. Here are the top three.

First Problem – What is with the offensive playcalling inside the red zone?

The first thought that comes to mind is offensive coordinator Scott Linehan still can’t seem to get his play calling right. When you have been running the ball effectively all game, why throw the ball three times in a row inside the five-yard line? That series almost cost the Dallas Cowboys the game.  When will Linehan learn to use what he has effectively?

Second Problem – Why does Dak Prescott continue to have happy feet?

This season Dak Prescott has seemed very uncomfortable in the pocket. It’s as if he is hearing ghosts and freaking out in the pocket. A lot of this falls on new quarterback coach Kellen Moore who needs to get Prescott to settle down in the pocket. He also needs to figure out why Prescott continues to spin out of the pocket instead of stepping up in the pocket. Answer these questions and the Dallas Cowboy offense should get a lot better.

Third Problem – What happens if Ezekiel Elliott gets hurt?

With another big game under his belt, Ezekiel Elliott powered the Dallas Cowboys past the Lions. But what happens if Elliott were to go down with an injury? Elliott admitted after the game that he is feeling beat up and did get hurt in the game but was able to come back. The Cowboys need to find a passing game before they run Elliott into the ground. The question then becomes who will step up?

Did you come away from this game with any lingering questions or are you feeling better about the offense? Tell us about them in the comment section below.
