Cowboys at Seahawks: 5 bold predictions for Sunday’s contest
The Dallas Cowboys will face off against the Seattle Seahawks in Week Three. Here are five bold prediction about the upcoming contest.
Following their first victory of the season, a 20-13 win over their NFC East foes the New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys will travel to the Great Northwest to take on the winless Seattle Seahawks.
Despite their 0-2 record, the Cowboys can not afford to take the Seahawks lightly. Both of Seattle’s losses have come on the road, which are always difficult games to win.
When they take on Dallas this Sunday, it will be at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. Week Three will be the Seahawks’ home opener. And in that stadium, their fans are some of the loudest in the NFL. They are called the 12th man for a reason.
In preparation, the Cowboys have been cranking up the noise in practice, getting themselves ready to play in that sinister environment. Still, this is a Dallas team whose strengths matchup well against Seattle’s weaknesses.
The Cowboys currently possess the fourth best defense in the NFL. This bodes well for Dallas as the Seahawks offense ranks a lowly 27th and has some serious issues along their offensive line. It should be a feast for this improved Cowboys pass rush.
Unfortunately, Dallas’ offense hasn’t provided much support through the first two weeks of the regular season. Averaging a lowly 14 points per game so far, the Cowboys offense will need to generate more firepower to win on the road.
Where Dallas could find success offensively is in the running game. Seattle has allowed 116 rushing yards per contest to opponents, the 23rd most in the league. If running back Ezekiel Elliott can shake off the rust after sitting out the entire preseason, perhaps the Cowboys can dominate this game via the ground and with some help from their top-five defense.
With that in mind, here are five bold predictions about the upcoming battle between the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks in Week Three.
