Dallas Cowboys: 5 things on Panthers game, 5 things on Giants
1. Facing 0-2
Ladies and gents, I had the Cowboys pegged as a 10-6, playoff team. I was strong about my feeling that the Cowboys would fall to the Panthers. Now the offense has me taking a step back. Thank goodness for this resurgence in the defense.
Regardless of Randy Gregory‘s outcome, I think the Cowboys are saved by the defense. Just not this Sunday night. The Giants are also facing 0-2, and I don’t think the Cowboys will cruise to .500. Sorry. Just my gut feeling.

2. Ezekiel Elliott looks in the mirror
Oh boy, here comes running back Saquon Barkley. The second overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft is going to test the new defense in Big D. I’m looking forward to the matchup. Can the Cowboys hold him under 100 yards?
This is going to be a fun showdown between number 21 and Barkley, a contest that will be must watch for years to come.
3. Turnovers? No matter
Despite turning the ball over two times, the Giants still came close to winning over the Jaguars. Eli Manning was Eli again with a pick, but he got the ball to Odell Beckham Jr. 11 times. The Giants stole the Cowboys template — using a strong run attack with the ability to stretch the field with a number one receiver.
The Giants held their own with an impressive Jacksonville team. If the Cowboys can win the turnover battle, they’ll have to make the G-MEN pay up. They have to make turnovers matter, and I think this new defense has the ability to come up with key turnovers.
