The 2018 Dallas Cowboys failed to muster up any firepower on the offense. Now, Big D welcomes in Giants. Here are five points on the Panthers and Big Blue.

Well folks, let’s hope last Sunday was not a preview of the 2018 Dallas Cowboys. I mean, things have to get better from this point on, right? Let’s face it: The Boys had a very poor outing. The offense struck out over and over, and the Panthers defense swallowed the Cowboys in every sense of the word. The firepower on the offense was iced, leaving the wet conditions to blame.

The Dallas Cowboys totaled only 232 yards of offense. Simply put: Not good enough against a team that went 11-5 the previous year. My prediction of a 31-17 Panthers win was off, but my clarity on the offense was spot on. Weird times. The defense, for a change, bailed the offense.

We have so much to discuss. Here are five points on the Panthers contest, followed by five more points on the upcoming New York Giants game.

Enjoy the list.

1. Dak Prescott feeds doubters

170 passing yards. That’s not good enough. Not against a playoff team. Not as a visitor.

The Cowboys won’t win many games with this kind of outing. Blame the coaches? Dak’s accuracy? How about all the above.

2. Dak Prescott’s passing yards

Here are Dak’s passing yards in the last 10 games:

• 249
• 176
• 145
• 179
• 102
• 332
• 212
• 181
• 179
• 170

Let’s do some math. He failed to reach the 200-yard mark seven times. He earned 200 yards or more only three times in the last 10 contests. His only 300-yard ball game came on December 10th, 2017, which was a win over the New York Giants, 30-10.
