After a disappointing 2017, the Dallas Cowboys and their fans hope this year will be different. Is a return to the top of the NFC East in store for 2018?

Another year of NFL football is right around the corner. For the Dallas Cowboys, what a difference one year can make. Last year, at this time, the Cowboys were getting ready to defend their NFC East crown with eyes towards a bigger prize.

This year, they are looking for redemption. They are also looking for familiar faces to get this redemption with as well.

Sunday afternoon, when the Dallas Cowboys visit Carolina, they will be doing so minus some big names. No longer is Dez Bryant on the outside catching passes. The days of Jason Witten moving the chains in the middle of the field are gone. If a clutch kick is necessary, it won’t be Dan Bailey attempting it.

These departures certainly raise questions regarding this team and their chances at prosperity. Luckily, every other team in this division has some big questions of their own.

The NFC East has not had a repeat champion since the Eagles of 2003 and 2004 did so. History indicates that there should be a new top dog in 2018. Will the Eagles be the ones to buck the trend once again?

Let’s dive right in to our NFC East preview with the team I predict will finish last.
