The Dallas Cowboys recently released their official 53-man roster. Here are three players who were surprise additions to the team over the weekend.

The Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster was full of surprises and wildcards. With the release of all-time great kicker Dan Bailey and the decision to only keep two running backs, this Cowboys team has shaken things up going into the 2018 season. But what players made the team to the surprise of others? Here’s my list.

Wide Receiver Noah Brown

Noah Brown was a seventh-round pick in the 2017 draft as a big and young project at receiver. With the ability to block and an NFL ready body, Brown saw some action for the team in 2017.

Coming into this offseason, he was poised to be one of the guys ready to help contribute on the outside. But unfortunately for him, he suffered a hamstring injury that lingered throughout training camp.

Brown has not been able to show his improvement on the field and has missed out on valuable reps and game experience. While he does have a physical profile the team doesn’t have with any of its other wideouts, it seemed as though Brown would not be healthy enough to prove his worth.

However, it seems as though the coaching staff really likes Brown and his size and blocking ability. Hopefully, he makes an impact in a wide open receiving group.
