The Dallas Cowboys trimmed their roster to 53 players on Saturday. But now there are a slew of potential adds available. Here are six possible targets.

The Dallas Cowboys along with every other team dumped several players onto the waiver wire and into free agency on Saturday, as they were required by the NFL to cut down their rosters from potentially 90 men to just 53.

The Cowboys front office will now go about the task of searching for potential adds that could provide the team with some much-needed help in the regular season. With the team’s various needs in mind, here are six potential targets that seem to make the most sense in Dallas.

Jonathan Cooper, Guard

Released by the San Francisco 49ers, the vested veteran is now a free agent and can join the team of his choosing. As the Cowboys starting left guard last season, Cooper would be a clear choice for Dallas to sign due to his has previous experience playing on this line and considering their depth issues.

Donnel Pumphrey, Running Back

The Cowboys were interested in Donnel Pumphrey during the 2017 NFL Draft, but the Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the fourth round before Dallas could. The Cowboys selected wide receiver, Ryan Switzer, instead.

Viewed as a running back with special returner/playmaker qualities, Pumphrey could become the change of pace back in Dallas to spell Ezekiel Elliott and Rod Smith, the only two running backs remaining on the roster, while also being a difference-maker on special teams.
