In their third and final home game of the preseason, the Dallas Cowboys will take on the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night at AT&T Stadium.

The Dallas Cowboys aren’t expected to play a typical third preseason game this Sunday night when they face off against the Arizona Cardinals.

Normally, the majority of the starters would play through the first half of this third preseason contest. But due to several injuries suffered to their starting offensive line, don’t expect to see a majority of the Cowboys offensive stars take the field Sunday night.

Starters like quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott are likely to sit this one out as both are probably done for the entire preseason. Instead, Cowboy fans and onlookers can expect to see plenty of roster-bubble players get significant snaps as final cuts are just over a week away.

Although the offense in Dallas may be light, the defensive starters could play until halftime. Particularly intriguing is the defensive tackle position, where injuries and suspensions have opened a window for unproven defenders like Antwaun Woods, Jihad Ward, and Brian Price to make their case for a spot on the final roster.

Other positions to watch carefully are at wide receiver and tight end. Wideouts like Lance Lenoir, Deonte Thompson and tight end Rico Gathers appear to be fringe players at his point. One special play could determine their NFL fates.
