OFFENSE (24) – CONTINUED

Wide receivers (6)

Allen Hurns, Cole Beasley, Michael Gallup, Terrance Williams, Tavon Austin, Lance Lenoir

Could the Dallas Cowboys actually carry seven receivers? It’s possible but unlikely. Noah Brown and Deonte Thompson are starting to run out of time. Neither has participated much, if at all, in camp. For guys on the bubble, regardless of veteran status or potential, at some point, you have to be able to play.

Tight ends (4)

Blake Jarwin, Geoff Swaim, Dalton Schultz, Rico Gathers

No one on this list is going to make anyone forget about Jason Witten any time soon. This may be the worst tight end group in all of football. You know what would make it even worse?

Cutting Gathers. Yes, he needs to improve on his focus and knowing his assignments, he also has the most talent of anyone in this group. I’m not interested in seeing him figure things out in another team’s uniform.

Offensive line (8)

Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, Travis Frederick, Connor Williams, La’el Collins, Joe Looney, Kadeem Edwards, Cameron Fleming

I would prefer to keep only seven because only seven deserve to make this team but we need eight. After two preseason games, it’s pretty clear any injury to the starting five could spell doom to the Cowboys offense in 2018.
