Rookie 4th round pick Dorance Armstrong Jr. looked fantastic in his Cowboys debut in San Francisco and defensive tackles Datone Jones and Brian Price jumped off the tape with their performances.
Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods has been terrific at Cowboys camp in Oxnard California and has put himself in the mix to start until Cowboys defensive tackle David Irving returns from his suspension.
Cowboys defensive end Charles Tapper forced a fumble and recovered it in the Cowboys first preseason game and recorded a quarterback pressure. Tapper has been hit with injuries early in his career but when healthy he has shown a propensity to make plays.
So we have DeMarcus Lawrence, Tyrone Crawford, Randy Gregory, Taco Charlton, Maliek Collins–when he returns from injured reserve–Dorance Armstrong Jr., Antwaun Woods, Brian Price, Datone Jones, Charles Tapper, Jihad Ward and Kony Ealy. That is 12 players who could potentially make the roster.
Of those names, I would say Kony Ealy needs to start flashing or he won’t make the final roster.
