Dallas Cowboys: Madden 19 ratings for all drafted rookies revealed
How did the good folks over at EA Sports rank all the Dallas Cowboys drafted rookies in the upcoming Madden 19 video game? We have the reveal.
Whether you like video games or not, news about the impending release of the annual version of Madden is unavoidable. The fact that it’s really the only game in town when it comes to NFL simulation means there is a massive audience waiting for any news about the game.
And since the Dallas Cowboys are the most popular team in the league, it only makes sense that fans of America’s Team make up a good portion of Madden’s audience. With that in mind, how the Cowboys players themselves are rated is newsworthy. Particularly, the rookies.
With that in mind, here are the Madden ratings for all of the Cowboys drafted rookies as recently reported by DallasCowboys.com.
Leighton Vander Esch, LB – 77
Connor Williams, G – 76
Michael Gallup, WR – 72
Cedrick Wilson, WR – 71
Bo Scarbrough, RB – 71
Dorance Armstrong, DE – 70
Dalton Schultz, TE – 69
Chris Covington, LB – 66
Mike White, QB – 64
After reviewing these Madden ratings, it’s a bit surprising Vander Esch is ranked higher than Williams. Although the latter was a second rounder, offensive lineman tend to get higher ratings right out of the gate. Vander Esch is actually rated higher than third-year linebacker Jaylon Smith, who received a 75.
At receiver, third round selection Gallup is only rated one point higher than Wilson, a very late sixth-round pick. The highest rated wide receiver on the Cowboys’ Madden roster is actually Allen Hurns at 81. Center Travis Frederick, linebacker Sean Lee and right guard Zack Martin are all ranked at 96 and share the top spot as Dallas’ highest rated player in the game.
Finally, following so much hype due to playing at Alabama, seventh round selection Bo Scarbrough was rated at 71. The rookie running back is expected to compete with Darius Jackson and Trey Williams for a spot on the active roster this summer. Jackson has a rating of 59, while Williams was given a 67. Madden ratings change throughout the season, so these rookie rankings will change as they get more playing time.
