Washington Redskins 2018 defensive ranking 27th, NFC East ranking third place

The Redskins lost three players that the rest of the league was quick to take. Cornerback Kendall Fuller, arguably the best slot cover cornerback last year was traded to the Chiefs.

Defensive end Trent Murphy signed with the Bills and defensive tackle Terrell McClain signed with the Falcons. Of all three players, Fuller is going to be the hardest for the Redskins to replace which is good news for the rest of the NFC East.

The Redskins like every other team was able to sign players and they did pick up a few good guys. Former Cowboys Orlando Scandrick will replace Fuller but he won’t be the same player he was before his knee injury.

Defensive end Pernell McPhee is an upgrade over Trent Murphy if he can stay healthy. Linebacker Zack Brown comes back and solidifies the linebacker group. In all this defense still has a lot of holes to fill.

Prediction – Last Place in the NFC East
