Although he had to play for the Denver Broncos in order to secure his first and only Super Bowl victory, defensive end DeMarcus Ware will go down in NFL history as one of the greatest pass rushers ever to play for the Dallas Cowboys.

Drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of Troy, Ware played a total of nine seasons with the Cowboys. In that span, he became the franchise’s sack leader with 117.0 sacks.

Ware would go on to play in Denver for three more years, earning a Super Bowl ring after the 2015 regular season.

In total, Ware would record a combined 654 tackles, 138.5 sacks, 25 pass defends, three interceptions, and one defensive touchdown during his 12-year pro career.

Ware would earn a total of nine Pro Bowl nominations and would be elected a first or second-team All-Pro seven times. He also led the league in sacks twice.

DeMarcus Ware is a Super Bowl champion, Pro Bowler, All-Pro, and the Dallas Cowboys’ most dominant pass rusher. Next, he’s sure to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He’ll be first eligible for that honor in 2022.
