Coming out of their OTA’s the Dallas Cowboys have a few players turning heads. Let’s take a look at a few and what they could do for the team in the future.

While it just the beginning of the camp season for the Dallas Cowboys we can still get excited. There have been a few names people are talking about coming out of their final OTA practice. While early these players have been very impressive so far.

Let’s take a look at some of them on offense and defense.

First up the offensive players.

Wide Receiver Cedric Wilson

All the reports coming out of OTA’s on Wilson has been his ability to handle everything the Cowboys coaches have thrown at him. Whether it’s the routes he is asked to run or blocking during running plays he has proven he is ready. Hopefully, he can keep this momentum going into minicamp and training camp. If he can do that he will be a useful offensive weapon for the Scott Linehan.

Next up is Connor Williams

So far in these OTA’s Williams has been able to work with the first team offensive line. By all reports, he is going to make the left side of the line dominate again. He has looked especially good when he has been able to use his athleticism on the move. Now he has had problems with defenders using power against him but that will change with time in the gym.

Last but not least Blake Jarwin

Jarwin has been able to show his ability to make plays in the passing game. We already know he is a willing blocker coming out of college, but showing this part of his game will surely get him on the field during the season. If he can continue to build a rapport with Dak Prescott we may be looking at our tight end of the future.

Now on let’s talk about players on the defensive side of the ball.

First on our list is Justin March-Lillard

March-Lillard has been able to shine when given the opportunities running with the first team defense. He has shown he can cover tight ends and running backs and also that he can get to the quarterback blitzing.

Damien Wilson better make sure he shows up in training camp or he may not have a spot on this team because of March-Lillard.

Next on the list is Jihad Ward

Ward was labeled a draft bust during his time with the Oakland Raiders. During his time with the Dallas Cowboys, he is showing what many believed he could be in the NFL. He has shown he can push the pocket making it difficult for the quarterbacks during these OTA’s. He also has been able to stuff some runs as well. If he can continue to show he can create havoc up the middle he would be a nice steal for the Cowboys.

Last on the defensive list is Taco Charlton

When the Dallas Cowboys took Charlton last year most fans weren’t too happy. During his first season, most people were quick to label him a bust. Seems like Charlton was listening and has come into OTA’s looking to prove a point. He’s confident and showing a lot of improvement in his game. Let’s hope he can keep this up because if he can keep this momentum going into the season.
