Here are five current Dallas Cowboys players who, for whatever reason, may not even be on America’s Team’s roster come 2019.

Change is a part of life. Change is also a part of football in the NFL. And that makes it life for the Dallas Cowboys. This year alone, we’ve seen tremendous change across the roster of America’s Team.

In fact, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones estimates that 45 of the team’s current 90-man roster are in their first year in Dallas. Talk about change!

With change in mind, here are five players I believe may not be on the Cowboys’ roster in 2019.

David Irving, DT

After posting 7.0 sacks in eight games, the thought that Irving will not be on this roster come 2019 is had to fathom. But he did miss four games last season due to a PED suspension. The other four to a concussion. And despite the fact he is on a one-year deal in Dallas, looking for a long term extension,he arrived at OTA’s out of shape. That doesn’t bode well for his future in Dallas.

Terrance Williams, WR

Prior to suffering a broken foot and being arrested for public intoxication after leaving the scene of an accident, William’s status in Dallas already felt tenuous. Despite posting a career-high in receptions last season (53) he failed to score a single touchdown. With the shakeup happening at wide receiver right now, the only thing seemingly saving his job in Dallas is his guaranteed contract. That should not be the case in 2019.

Cole Beasley, WR

Although many expect Beasley to rebound from his down season in 2017 (36 recs, 314 yards, four tds), the slot receiver will turn 30-years old next year. He’s also scheduled to be a free agent. If Beasley once again fails to meet expectations this season, it’s simply hard to justify retaining an aging, underperforming slot receiver with some many younger options available.

Chaz Green, OT

At this point, it’s hard to find reasons why Green is still on the roster in Dallas today. The former third round selection’s poor play cost the Cowboys at least one game last year as the team’s lack of quality depth along their offensive line was this team’s Achilles Heel in 2017. Scheduled to become a free agent in 2019, it’s very likely Green has played his last game in Dallas already.

DeMarcus Lawrence, DE

Don’t get me wrong. Lawrence, who is currently playing on the franchise tag, has done everything right this offseason to earn himself a long-term contract. And he very well might get one by next month’s deadline.

But Dallas could easily let Lawrence play on the tag and see if last season was a fluke or not. If the 26-year old fails to reproduce his previous performance, the Cowboys could allow him to become a free agent in 2019 considering they spent a first round pick in 2017 on Taco Charlton, his replacement.
