Dallas Cowboys 2018 draft profile: Anthony Miller
Today we continue our Dallas Cowboys draft profile series, as we look at a possible replacement for Dez Bryant, wide receiver Anthony Miller.
After the release of Dez Bryant Friday afternoon, it is pretty clear the Dallas Cowboys will prioritize wide receiver in the first few rounds of the draft.
Anthony Miller, from the University of Memphis, could be a possible early round pick that could make an immediate impact on the Dallas offense.
Miller is a 23-year old, 5’11, 190 lb wide receiver, who played three years at the University of Memphis.
In 2017, his junior year, the Memphis product put up some mind blowing numbers. In 13 games he caught 96 passes, for 1462 yards, and caught 18 touchdowns.
His outstanding season had him named a 2017 Consensus All-American, and he led the NCAA in touchdown receptions, was third in receiving yards, and was fifth in the in receptions.
In 38 total games at Memphis, Miller scored 40 total touchdowns, averaging a little over one a game, an extremely impressive number.
Although he only preformed in one event at the NFL Scouting Combine, at Memphis’s pro day, Miller ran a 4.48 40 yard dash, and recorded a 39 inch vertical jump.
As shown by his outstanding stats, Miller’s biggest strength is his knack to find the end zone, something the Cowboys desperately need at the wide receiver position.
At Memphis, Miller played inside and outside, so he has versatility of where he can be lined up. He is great at going up and high pointing the ball, and has great footwork.

If the Cowboys decide not to spend the 19th overall pick on a wide receiver, Miller would be a great option in round two.
If he is still there at pick 50, don’t be surprised if the Cowboys pull the trigger, and bring Anthony Miller to Dallas.
