By Tyrone Starr
Safety
Justin Reid – Stanford
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before but the Dallas Cowboys are in the market for a safety.
After trying Byron Jones for four years, he is moving to cornerback.

With Derwin James definitely going before 19thoverall, Reid is the next best option.
Reid truly is a do-it-all type safety.
With both the ability to play in the box or as a center fielder in coverage, he would be an automatic starter.
In his senior season at Stanford, Reid finished with 94 tackles, 6.5 for loss with one sack, five interceptions and six passes defensed.
He has the capability of covering tight ends across the field and receivers in the slot although Cole Beasley types create issues for him.
At worst, Reid should be a long-time pro with the upside of a few possible Pro-Bowl selections in his future.
That is something that cannot be said for any other safety currently on the roster.
