Guard

Will Hernandez – UTEP

This position is another in which the Cowboys could have an opportunity at one of the two best prospects in the draft.

Notre Dame interior lineman Quenton Nelson will be a top ten pick but the next two guys should both be around with selection number nineteen.

More from Cowboys Draft

Between Isaiah Wynn and Will Hernandez, I would give the slight edge to Hernandez.

Hernandez is extremely flexible and quick for a man who weighs in at 350 lbs.  His prowess in run blocking would make him an instant fit with the rest of this All-Star offensive line.

While he could be a better pass protector, his flaws are not glaring.

In the mold of left tackle Tyron Smith, Hernandez has violent, strong hands that end all rush attempts once they are engaged.

He’s also the type of player who loves playing football and being around the game. Hernandez would be an exceptional fit on this Cowboys’ team.

Hernandez does not possess prototypical size with his arms or hands but would definitely not just be the fifth guy either.
