We have another trade! The Dallas Cowboys trade picks 116, 171 & 208 to the Houston Texans for pick number 103.

With the 103rd pick in the fourth round, the Dallas Cowboys select …

Michael Gallup, WR, Colorado State

There are two scenarios which are almost sure bets to happen with the draft being at Cowboys Stadium.  One – the Dallas Cowboys will not use all 10 picks they have in this draft.  Two – Jerry Jones will be a showman and make moves.

With one trade already in the books, Dallas makes another to move up in the fourth round.  For everyone wanting a wide receiver in this draft, this should satisfy your thirst.

Michael Gallup has good size (6’1″ 205 lbs.) and speed (4.51-forty time) and production.  In 2017, he put up 1,272 yards and 14 touchdowns, earning first-team All-Mountain West Conference honors.  His strong and quick hands help eliminate the possibility of jams at the line of scrimmage.

Gallup does need to improve his effort and focus but the talent and skill level is there to be, at worst, a solid number two receiver for years to come.

With the 137th pick in the fourth round, the Dallas Cowboys select …

Nyheim Hines, RB, North Carolina State

As for Hines, he would be the perfect complement to Ezekiel Elliott.  Think of Hines as a slightly bigger, poor man’s version of Darren Sproles.  Last season, Hines had four touchdown runs of 45+ yards.  In three seasons at N.C. State, Hines averaged 5.4 yards per carry and 10.5 yards per catch. He also has special teams experience as a returner, scoring three touchdowns on punt or kickoff returns.
