Round 4 Pick 116: S Jessie Bates Wake Forrest

In round 4, the Cowboys address their secondary by taking safety Jessie Bates. With the likely move on Byron Jones back to cornerback, the Cowboys will need some safety depth. Bates is a good cover safety, who posses above average athletic ability, and is a high motor player.

Bates struggles at times in the open field trying to make tackles, but is very versatile and can do many things for your defense. He should also be able to make an impact on special teams in his rookie year.

Round 4 Pick 137: DT Deadrin Senat South Florida

The Cowboys bolster their defensive line, taking Deadrin Senat out of South Florida. The one time Florida State commit, is a strong, quick, disruptive defensive tackle.

In his senior year, Deadrin recorded six sacks, and 10.5 tackles for loss. The 6’1 305 lb defensive tackle will give Dallas depth in the middle of their defensive line.
