Dallas Cowboys headlines: Free Agent Wide Receiver, Taco Socks
The Dallas Cowboys have several unanswered questions to answer this offseason. Let’s talk about some of them in today’s headlines.
With the offseason now in full swing in Big D, the Dallas Cowboys will have to start coming up with answers to some of the team’s lingering questions. For instance, will the Cowboys make a splash signing via free agency or opt to only signing their own?
Some of the other questions being brought up in today’s headlines are: Is Taco Charlton the next DeMarcus Lawrence in Dallas? Is a speedy wide receiver on the Cowboys offseason wish list? And who are some of the favorite prospects that could be drafted at #19? Let’s discuss …
Free agency fits: Kirk Cousins to Browns? Le’Veon Bell to Bucs? – NFL.com
The Cowboys are mentioned twice in the above article. First, a “what if” concerning DeMarcus Lawrence hitting free agency. Not gonna happen. Second, the possibility of Dallas signing potential free agent wide receiver Allen Robinson. Although Robinson would be a nice replacement for Dez Bryant, his price tag and catch percentage make the chances of this happening extremely low. I’m not sure the Jacksonville Jaguars will even let him near free agency anyway.

Marinelli continues to preach the comparison of Taco Charlton and DeMarcus Lawrence’s careers. One, I hope Taco doesn’t wait until his contract year to reach his potential. And two, body-type wise, Charlton maybe a better comparison for David Irving. But Irving is still struggling to reach his own potential in Dallas. In the end, I’m still not convinced the Cowboys made the right choice with the selection of Taco Charlton in the first round of last year’s draft.

Jason Witten is one of the longest tenured players currently in the NFL. But just how many players from his era are still in the league is shocking. They don’t call the NFL “Not For Long” for no reason.

It’s clear in the above post that PFF wants to see the Cowboys add a speedy receiver to their roster. And not necessarily to replace Dez Bryant, but to complement him. At this point, I’m not sure where another receiver would fit in without cutting ties with one or two others.
